Waitlist and Lottery
We have put in place a lottery system for fall 2027. This will provide equity for all seeking preschool at Guilford Center for Children's Early Education.
To apply to the lottery, your child needs to have been born on or before September 1, 2024. This would make them 3 years old on or before September 1, 2027. Applications to the lottery will be accepted through Sunday, January 31, 2027. On Monday, February 1, 2027 classroom spots will be determined by the lottery. Once the 46 available classroom spots for 3 year-olds are full for fall 2027, an additional 46 names will be drawn to form a fixed waiting list.
If you have been chosen by the lottery for a classroom spot or a waiting list spot, you will be contacted by February 5, 2027. There will be a welcome event for new parents on Wednesday, February 10 at 6pm.

Guilford Center for Children, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children who need out-of-home care during the day.
