Hello, I'm Annemarie! I started my role as Executive Director at GCC in July 2025. I bring over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a strong background in youth development, community engagement, and grants management.

Prior to joining GCC, I served as the Grants Manager and Director of Learning and Engagement at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut. During my time at BBBSCT, I optimized procedures from initial inquiry with the organization through enrollment in programs, created engagement opportunities between staff and key stakeholders including orientations, training and interactive activities, and managed a portfolio of over 70 funders. Before moving to Connecticut in 2019, I spent over a decade working in Fall River, Massachusetts at a nonprofit recreation center providing affordable after-school activities to families, managing youth violence prevention and intervention efforts, and coordinating large community events serving thousands of city residents.

I am passionate about creating inclusive, empowering spaces for young people and their families. Using a strengths-based approach, I've championed access, equity, and community collaboration as the foundation for impactful youth services.

I am originally from New Jersey and even after living in New England for almost 20 years, I still don’t enjoy pumping my own gas! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter and our family and friends, swimming, going to the beach, reading and performing improv comedy.

Born and raised on a dairy farm in upstate NY. I moved to Boston for 10 years then to the CT shoreline in 2006. Married for 19 years with 2 children. Joined GCC in 2016. I have a BA in psychology and a MA in teaching. I love working with the families of GCC. Outside of work, I love hiking, boating, baking and cooking. You can find me at the beach, in Maine or on my farmland on the weekends.

Hi! My name is Stephanie and I started working at GCC BASC in 2000 while attending Guilford High School! Since graduating, I have worked at all 3 BASC sites, earned my head teachers certificate, and now work in our main office as the program's Assistant Director! I absolutely love working at GCC and hope to spend many more years here! I currently live in Meriden with my wife and our son, Jameson who is a GCC Early Ed graduate! We love going for walks, having bonfires, visiting friends and family and watching movies! We also have 2 cats, Pete & Mittens! They love snuggling with us on the couch or lounging in front of the wood stove during the colder months!

Hi! I'm Lindsay, the Assistant Director here at GCC Early ED, where I have been a dedicated member since 2016. I have taught in both the Orange and Purple classrooms before becoming a part of the administration team! I earned my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Child Development from Southern New Hampshire University in 2007, and went on to teach in both Old Saybrook Connecticut and Boston before making my way back to my hometown of Madison. I feel I bring both knowledge and heart to my leadership role.

When not working in the office, I can be found bouncing between classrooms alongside my best buddy, Edgar the puppet, engaging children in meaningful lessons about relationship skills, self-management, respect, and resilience. With a deep passion for Social Emotional Learning, I believe strong relationships are the foundation for lifelong success and Edgar and I work to create a supportive, joyful environment where every child feels seen, valued, and capable.

I feel lucky to be a part of every child's daily journey here at GCC and believe that each day brings a new beginning- a chance for children, families and educators to grow, connect and learn together.
